Olcott Park Zoo

The zoo was a sensation. People all over the town came to the Olcott Park Zoo. The thing that is most important about the zoo is the animals there. So that is what I am basically going to talk about.

Animals, like the monkeys, lived in a big tower shaped stone structure. People could throw food to them also, there were bears, elk, wolf, deer, and snakes in the zoo. The animals were only there in the summer, because it was too cold and they could not survive the cold winters in Virginia, Minnesota. If you want to learn about the park look in letter O for Olcott Park.

Too bad the zoo is not still standing today. The only thing left from it is the monkeys tower and now they plant flowers in it. Yuck. Years ago people started being real mean o the animal and started throwing rocks at them. That is a shame. The animals started getting hurt so they got taken out, and with them went the zoo. Luckily the park is still standing.

I think that it would have been fun for you to go to the zoo, but at least after you get done reading this you can know about it.
